Tesco has taken their ‘100% pure honey’ off their shelves due to allegations of honey adulteration with corn syrup. Tesco says it has removed the product as a precaution but insists it carries out regular tests to ensure its honey is “100 per cent pure, natural and can be directly traced back to the beekeeper.” These tests were performed using NMR technology by the Richmond council in London after being alerted by a member of the public that something may be amiss with the product.
